Jeroen van der Heijden has been Exact's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the Executive Committee since August 2018. He returned to Exact, where he previously held various IT management positions between 1991 and 2005. The intervening years included positions as CTO to HR software supplier Raet and Cegeka-dsa, among others.

At Exact, Jeroen is responsible for driving technological innovation for both existing and new products. Jeroen: “It is quite exceptional for Exact to have held such a major, leading role in the software industry for so long. We have managed that due to our ability to renew ourselves continuously and guide customers through technological transitions almost imperceptibly.” Jeroen is all about ease of use. Innovations should make life easier for customers, lead to time savings and be intuitive to use. Successful innovations do not stand out. Instead, people use them as if they had always been there.

While Jeroen is a developer to the core, he also holds two Master's degrees in Literature, from Radboud University Nijmegen and Utrecht University.
