Exact further improves scan & recognize functionality by acquiring go2UBL

Exact acquires go2UBL

Delft, 8 July 2021, Exact has acquired go2UBL to support customers to further digitize their business processes. go2UBL is a specialized software provider that converts scanned documents into Universal Business Language (UBL) format which can be used in accounting programs. By embedding the go2UBL software, Exact can better serve its customers’ need to process scanned documents in Exact Online and throughout the rest of the portfolio.

With this acquisition, Exact improved the Scan & Recognize functionality. An important part of Exact’s core strategy, focusing on making repetitive and manual accounting tasks unnecessary: No hands Accounting. With go2UBL invoices are scanned, recognised, and automatically assigned by the robot, called Scan & Recognize. Customers deliver their paperwork in digital format, which is then processed automatically. This saves the customer time while the accounting is done correctly, in full and on time.

Paul Ramakers, CEO at Exact, “We’re very excited to have go2UBL join Exact. With this acquisition Exact will improve the user experience of our solutions by addressing efficiency and quality. We will continue to invest in our software through innovation and implementation of the latest technology.”

Joep Hoeks, Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Exact: “With the expertise of go2UBL we can further improve the quality of the Scan & Recognize functionality. go2UBL uses internally developed workflow software to run the process. Similar functionality is offered through the mobile application.”

“Today is a landmark for us with the fact that Exact embeds the software we’ve developed in its solutions. We’re very proud that Exact chose for go2UBL,” says Rob Tolstra, CEO of go2UBL. “In the 25 years I’m working, Exact has always been part of my job. go2UBL has been investing continuously to improve our solution to make sure that the recognition is correct, in full and on time. We look forward to further work on this with our new colleagues at Exact.”
