Exact presents Winter Release 2021

17 February 2021 - Exact introduces the Winter Release'21 with over 30 new features and improvements, spread over a number of applications including Exact Online, Exact Globe+ and Exact Synergy. With this release Exact is lifting its software solutions for businesses in sectors such as manufacturing and retail, accountancy and construction to the next level. “As our customers look ahead to 2021, they are preparing for new growth opportunities, and a crucial part of that is optimising financial and operational business processes'', says Jarno van Hurne, Product Line Director at Exact. “Our Winter '21 Release helps them move forward by adding increased intelligence and automation to accounting, online business and collaboration with accountants.”

The Winter Release ‘21 is tailored to the requests of entrepreneurs collected through Exact's support portal. A request for example was the renewal of the Price List API of Exact Online. The new connector works with a single call to retrieve data from a specific segment. This was an explicit request from customers in manufacturing and trade. During the pandemic, they were fully focused on online sales and the usage of webshop links almost doubled compared to 2018, according to the Exact data.

The need for them to take digital steps quickly is therefore increasing and we help to take them. The demand for webshop links is a clear example of this. We remain in close contact with our customers to ensure that we can offer them the right tools they need to automate and digitise tasks and processes.”

Other highlights from the Winter Release‘21 are:

The first customers are now using Globe+, the new standard for finance and ERP. The successor to Exact's leading Globe is more user-friendly, completely renewed in terms of technology and better prepared for future updates. Globe+ was put into the hands of a select group of customers a few months ago and will be made available to all customers free of charge in the coming months. New innovative capabilities, such as connectivity to mobile, the cloud and AI services, will be easier to implement in the future. This will enable entrepreneurs of medium-sized (international) companies to move flexibly with new trends and innovations in the future and thus benefit from technological developments in their sector.

Save time with automated sales invoices

The My[Office] mobile app, in which customers collaborate with their accountant, has also been improved. From now on, accountants can more easily have their clients send invoices and reminders. The related sales entries appear directly in the administration, which is immediately up-to-date. This is to reduce the number of times that accounting processes have to be 'touched' as much as possible and to save time. That makes accounting automatic and 'no hands'.

In addition, in controlled release it is now possible to directly process and make transaction payments received through the Mollie payment link (iDeal). This allows both entrepreneurs and accountants to easily place payment links on invoices to get payments processed as soon as they are received.

Exact for Construction now supports multiple administrations

Companies can now link multiple accounting systems to the Exact for Construction environment. This functionality allows larger construction companies to save a lot of time in managing master data and financial reporting of projects in Exact Online. Payroll integration in Exact for Construction also makes it possible to transfer all hours worked on a project to payroll payments in Exact Online without unnecessary steps.
