Are you developing an integration on behalf of or for one specific customer? In that case, your customer can also register an app themselves. They can do so from their own Exact Online environment using the following steps: Click on Partners > Exact App Store > Log in > Manage my apps > Click on + icon > Register the app. Your customer will then have an API key/secret you can use to set up the link.
No, this is not mandatory. It is also possible to link to customers without offering your app in the Exact Online App Store. This option is aimed at increasing your app's visibility through the Exact App Store and attracting additional attention. Be aware that your app's being published also depends on the App Store team's assessment.
